Giving Day 2024

Student Experience Fund (SEF)

We believe that every day at Colyton Grammar School should provide inspiration, challenge and support for all our students. This includes extra special facilities and experiences to ensure students reach and exceed their potential. This is only possible through generous philanthropic gifts to school.
The Student Experience Fund (SEF), is a regular giving scheme that enables us to support students with enriched experiences. To give you an idea of the importance of the Student Experience Fund, when your child starts Colyton Grammar School they will be provided with a school owned laptop for the duration of their time at school. This initiative only started in October 2020 after we raised £111,000, allowing the school to move ahead with this digital blended learning approach in the midst of the pandemic. The whole school is supported by the SEF, decision on funding support is at the discretion of the headteacher.

The SEF is transforming the experience of students here at Colyton Grammar School, we’d love it if you could join us.

The more participants there are, the fund builds up and allows us to react quickly to departmental needs. To join the SEF please donate here, you will be invited to a special thank you event at least biennially with the headteacher.

Please make a gift aid declaration, as a state school we are able to add gift aid to donations.

Philanthropy at Colyton

Philanthropic support is part of our history, as the school was set up by the generous local people of Colyton in 1546. This tradition continues today and is a key part of our success. The school wants to ensure its future in education is world-leading. State-funded schools like Colyton Grammar School have restricted budgets, so through gifts to the school you are helping us to fulfil our aims and provide an outstanding environment in which our students can flourish.

The Student Experience Fund is a regular donation scheme to the school which runs each year, all year round. The more participants there, the more the fund builds and allows us to react quickly to departmental needs. To join the Student Experience Fund please donate here, you will be invited to a special thank you event at least biennially with the headteacher.

Over the last two years your support has provided over 115 hours of volunteer time and in excess of £265,000 of support for the school.

2020 Impact

The Digital 4 All appeal was supported by over 200 donors and enabled Colyton Grammar School students to each have a digital device. This ensured an outstanding student experience through learning at home or in school during the pandemic and beyond.
