These unprecedented times call for us to pull together as a school, as we have done in previous times of crisis throughout our 475 year history.
We have already successfully implemented part of a digital strategy plan, but the COVID-19 pandemic has shown the importance of a school-wide adoption of technology and that we now need to deliver the policy of one student, one device as soon as possible. This will allow more efficient and effective independent learning, provide personalised student support, level the technology playing field for all students as well as closing any gaps as a consequence of disruption during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Whilst the school is able to fund a fair proportion of the Digital 4 All project, the additional support of Old Colytonians like you, as well as that of parents, past parents and our wider school community will be vital in ensuring that Colyton is able to provide digital equality and accessibility for all 1000 students from September 2020, and beyond.
Why support this campaign? 4 key points you need to know:
● Colyton Grammar School is already part way into the successful adoption of a Digital Enrichment Strategy with funding for 500 devices
● Our one student, one device policy will ensure consistency and equality of learning for all
● You would be supporting a success story – Colyton was the final school to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted before lockdown
● £ for £ matched funding up to £40,000, which has already been raised by the Parents Association
