It is with great sadness that we announce that Mrs Betty Preston, former senior Mistress of Colyton Grammar School has died.

She worked at the school during the time of the late Mr Fox in the 1970's, and started work alongside Mr Marsh as Deputy Head. The late Mr Fox reflected on his time here at Colyton Grammar School and commented 'Betty Preston, formally a senior Chemistry teacher at Kendal in the Lake District, also earned instant respect for all who she taught and established a strong discipline in good, plain speaking, no nonsense North of England style!'.

We send our condolences to her family.
