Alum Lom (OC202) recounts their journey around the English costal path: ' In August I set off from Sidmouth, Devon to fastpack England's entire coastline, a r0oughly 2800 mile challenge. Two months later I'm now working south through the North York Moors and hoping to reach Sidmouth again at the beginning of January. So far I've faced river crossings, stormy weather, missing trail sections and days with 2000 metres of ascent. I've camped everywhere from clifftops to inside a concrete pillbox, and met so much random kindness. As well as the personal challenge, I'm fundraising for Micro Rainbow, who provide safe houses for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers.
