In extraordinary times, extraordinary things happen!
The organisers of the 2020 Festival would like to invite you to The Virtual Colyton Garden and Food Festival!
Our plan is to put together a pictorial record of what we all did on 2 May 2020. We are asking you to send us one picture. It doesn’t need to be a fancy, staged image. It could be a snap of your daily exercise, a view of your work bench, something you baked, etc. If you are a business, feel free to add your contact details and we will tag you on our Facebook and/ or Instagram pages. We want to support as many people as we can. If you would prefer to send over a photo and remain anonymous, that’s great too. The world is your oyster.
We will be inviting all stallholders who booked a pitch at the 2020 Festival, volunteers from our school community and Festival visitors who would have been at school on 2 May 2020 to join in. We would really appreciate your help in making this project a success. Not only will it form some sort of historical record of our daily lives under lock-down, but will also serve to remind us that there is light at the end of the tunnel and normality will return to everyday life.
We would also love to use these images to bring together an exhibition at the 2021 event, documenting the Virtual Festival that did go ahead during the Covid-19 pandemic!
Your image from 2 May can be emailed to colytonfestival@gmail.com or carys@colytongardenfoodfestival.uk
A huge thank you from the 2020 Virtual Team.
The images you send in may be shared on our social media feeds and some may be used in an exhibition at Colyton Grammar School in 2021. By sending in your images you give us permission to use them in these ways. We reserve the right not to include any images that we feel are inappropriate or are not in the spirit of the Festival.
